I just started an online class that Jane Davies offers called Sketchbook Practice. While Jeremiah helps me learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting, Jane will help me with learn the fundamentals in a more abstract way.

Texas Artist Paul Soupiset
just one project of many. I chose to feature this one because I’m on the look out for artwork with various halos and stain-glass effects. Check out the rest of his varied work at http://projeqt.com/soupiset/ave-virginia-1/l
How to draw a blank
I’m in HUGE procrastination mode. My focus should be completeing my sketchbook project…but, I’m lost for how to make a mark in it. It’s becoming bigger than me, I’m blanking out on what to draw. So as usual, I’m ignoring it and pouring myself into something juvenile and whimsical. I found a picture on Etsy that I like and I thought I’d give it a try. I’m working on a soft pastel version based on a watercolor painting of an owl wearing big, old-school headphones. I loved him immediately. He’s keeping me happy for now. Owl picture soon to come.
It’s Here!
I have until January 15th to fill it up as much as possible and mail it off. Stay tuned.
