I posted a charcoal drawing of a statue called Mary yesterday.  Today, I decided to do more to the drawing and experiment with a pastel background.

I like it.  I’m really procrastinating though. The next lesson from Jeremiah’s course (he offers free drawing and painting instruction at: painting-course.com)  is about Measurement.  I read the instruction and I know it is simple, because it seems like it should be, but I don’t get it. When he takes the pencil-thumb measurement of his guitar is that the measurement he uses in his drawing?  I see the measurement of his guitar being 1/3 of his pencil, he says it’s 1 and 1/3 wide… 

Duh.
